verde hot springs
Park your car at the Childs campground, or just before it as the last 1/4 mile is really rough. Walk down to the campground and through it to the trail to the springs. Again, I believe there are signs. From the campground it is about a 1 mile walk. When you start your walk you will be on the opposite side of the river. To cross, you need to walk past the springs, cross the Verde river, then back along the trail to the springs. You will not see the springs from the opposite side of the river.
This map shows you where you will park (the Childs Powerplant/BM 2695 mark), where the springs are, and where you will cross the river ("Ford", just above Verde Hot Springs on the map). There may or may not be a marker on the trail indicating where to cross. I just looked for a low point in the river then went for it. You can also try crossing just south of the powerplant where the dashed line crosses the river on the map.
