The Vanderleck Side Trail is a 4.7km trail that provides an alternate route from the Hilton Falls Side Trail to the main trail. Just over half of the 4.7km is along a trail that follows the Dublin Line road allowance; the remainder of the trail is along 17 Sideroad, joining the main trail just north of Speyside.

Trailmaps

There are a number of places to start this hike. I parked at a small parking area on 6th Line, just north of the spot I use for the other Hilton Falls hike; this adds just over 7km and 1 1/2 hours to the hike. There are many other places you can use as the starting point that don't add to the distance; the attached file includes waypoints for several parking suggstions.

The colour track lines on this map show the hike segments:

The green line is the section of the Bruce Trail from the north end of the Vanderleck Side Trail to the north terminus of the Hilton Falls Side Trail.

The blue lines are the Hilton Falls Side Trail and Vanderleck Side Trail.

Using ExpertGPS you can assemble these route segments into the desired hike.

The gpx file also contains waypoints marking the beginning and ending of trails, major trail features and intersections, and several parking spots.
