This hike follows the Bruce Trail from Rattlesnake Point, through Crawford Lake, to Mount Nemo. If you are alone, as I was for this hike, a loop can be made out of the hike by following Walkers Line north back to Rattlesnake Point. However, this is also an ideal 2 car hike with one car dropped off at the hike terminus before driving to the trailhead. As such, I've listed two sets of statistics above, the first for the 2 car one way hike, the second for the loop hike.

This hike traverses some of the most scenic areas of the southern portions of the Bruce Trail. It passes through the deep valley of the Nassagaweya Canyon, through rocky outcrops of the Crawford Forestry Tract of the Halton Region Conservation Authority, into the Bronte Creek Valley, one of the most beautiful sections of the trail, and finally to Mount Nemo where the trail follows the top of the escarpment.

The varied terrain makes this a great but aggressive day-long adventure. However, there are also many opportunities to make the journey in smaller doses.

Trailmaps

The trail map below displays the breadcrumb trail collected during this hike. Pointers to additional trail maps follow these images. The color track lines on this map show the hike segments:

The green line is the section of the Bruce Trail from Kelso to Guelph Line.

The blue lines are the Leech-Porter Side Trail that cuts across the Nassagaweya Canyon and the Rattlesnake Point Side Trail that connects the parking area at Rattlesnake Point to the Bruce Trail.

The yellow lines are other trails to consider if you want to lengthen or shorten your hike.

Using ExpertGPS or Panterra you can assemble these route segments into the desired hike.

The gpx file also contains waypoints marking the beginning and ending of trails as well as major trail features and intersections.
